I did not find any information about the technology aspect of the movie but from watching I can tell it was much better than the original.

Conclusion

In conclusion of this report both movies were very successful worldwide. With that being said, the contemporary remake was far more successful than the original movie. There are are various factors that caused this. One of the primary factors could be technology. The technology utilised in the contemporary remake was much better than the original one. As a viewer, I enjoy new movies other than old movies.
Also, one of the reasons why the contemporary remake was more successful than the original movie could be because of the budget provided to them. The first Karate Kid's (1984) budget was $8,000,000 whilst the second Karate Kid's (2010) budget was $45,000,000. This meant they could utilise more technology and hire more actors due to a bigger budget.
